Camp & Satherley Stadium
Portland United return to action under the lights on Tuesday night when they welcome Downton to the Camp & Satherley Stadium in another important Wessex Premier Division clash.
The Blues will be looking to complete the double over their visitors after the two sides last met on the final Saturday of October, when Portland produced a strong performance to secure a 3–1 victory at The Nest.
However, Downton arrive on the Island a much improved side since that meeting. They have strengthened their squad in recent months and their recent form suggests they will provide a stern test for the Blues.
Their last five matches have produced three wins, including an emphatic 5–0 victory over Sherborne Town on Saturday and a convincing 3–1 win against Christchurch earlier in the week. Sandwiched between those results were cup defeats to Punjab United in the FA Vase and Millbrook in the SDFA Senior Cup, as well as an impressive 2–1 league win away at Christchurch.
With both sides enjoying positive spells of form, Tuesday night’s encounter promises to be a competitive and entertaining affair under the floodlights at the Camp & Satherley Stadium.
