Portland United have bolstered their squad ahead of the 2025/26 season with the addition of two exciting new signings.

Dynamic winger Malakai Stanners, a former Poole Town player and British Virgin Islands youth international, joins the Blues alongside talented midfielder Owen Peart, who arrives from Dorchester Sports.

Both players will link up with Kyle Critchell’s squad as preparations begin for the upcoming Wessex Premier League campaign.

In a club statement, Portland United said they were “delighted to welcome both Malakai and Owen to the club”.

Stanners is a versatile wide player, capable of operating as a full-back, wing-back or winger on either flank, bringing pace and flexibility to Portland’s setup.

Peart played a key role at Dorchester Sports that finished third in the Dorset Premier League and were runners-up in the Dorset Premier League Cup. He also has experience at Weymouth’s Under-23 level, highlighting his potential.

This double signing follows the recent arrival of Pat Jenkins from Bemerton Heath Harlequins, with the majority of last season’s squad already committing for another year at the Camp & Satherley Stadium.
