Portland came back from their trip to the New Forest empty handed – despite taking an early lead on Saturday in the Wessex League.

The Blues found themselves in front against the Badgers after Stef Stavrianos opened his account for the club. 

The young forward’s first half goal was cancelled out by a Ben Atiako-Hall strike ten minutes into the second half before Dylan Walker sealed the points with a strike 15 minutes from time.  

Portland came agonisingly close to an equaliser in the dying moments of the game but Pat Jenkins was unable to convert.

The Blues made three changes to the side that played against Downton two weeks prior. 

Beasant came in for Max Buckler, whilst Stavrianos replaced Freddie Beale and the club’s latest signing, Lee- Brad Haensel also started in attack in place of Tom Peach.
