Saturday 13th July – Camp & Satherley Stadium, 2:00pm KO
Portland United continued their pre-season preparations with a 3–1 victory over Bridport FC in their third friendly of the summer, played in warm and breezy conditions at the Camp & Satherley Stadium.
The Blues fielded a relatively young side for the first half, giving valuable minutes to several emerging players. It was the visitors who struck first, taking the lead with a superbly placed finish that found the top right corner.
But in-form forward Pat Jenkins continued his impressive pre-season by levelling the score shortly after, ensuring the sides went into the break all square.

Manager Kyle Critchell made five changes at the interval, and the impact was almost immediate. A pinpoint cross from Tom Peach found Josh Camp inside the box, and the forward made no mistake in slotting home to put Portland 2–1 ahead.
The remainder of the game saw open play from both sides, with chances at either end. But it was Jenkins again who found the decisive breakthrough, netting his second of the afternoon to seal a deserved 3–1 win for the Blues.
It was another solid workout for Critchell’s squad as preparations continue ahead of the new season.
