Portland United Reserves v Swanage Town & Herston
Dorset Premier League
Camp & Satherley Stadium
Wednesday 28th April (7:45pm)
Portland United Reserves suffered a frustrating 1-0 defeat at the hands of Swanage Town & Herston on Wednesday night. Despite a spirited performance at the Camp & Satherley Stadium, the Blues couldn’t find the clinical edge needed to break down a resilient Swanage side in this Dorset Premier League clash.
In a tightly contested match, both sides struggled to find rhythm in the early stages. Portland, captained by Haydn Payne, looked organized at the back with Andy Ennals providing a steady presence in goal. However, Swanage managed to grab the decisive goal, leaving the hosts chasing the game under the lights.
The Blues’ management looked to the bench in the second half to inject some fresh energy. Preston Hepburn replaced Josh Hanger to bolster the midfield, while Rocco Walsh and Ash Warwick were introduced late on for Josh Tennant and Archie Moors in an attempt to salvage a point. While the substitutes added some late pressure, the Swanage defense held firm to take all three points.
