Portland United Reserves produced an impressive performance against Hamworthy United Reserves, controlling the game from the opening whistle and deservedly taking all three points.

Portland started strongly and were rewarded after just 15 minutes. In-form striker Mike Powell worked hard to win a loose ball inside the box before calmly slotting it home to give Portland an early lead.

Portland continued to dominate and doubled their advantage in the 40th minute. Josh Tennant was in the right place at the right time to tap home from close range, sending Portland into the half-time break with a well-deserved 2–0 lead.

The second half followed the same pattern, with Portland continuing to work hard and control proceedings. On 65 minutes, Josh Tennant grabbed his second of the afternoon to make it 3–0.

Portland kept pressing forward and added a fourth through Mike Powell, who capped another strong performance with his second goal of the game.

With the match entering its final stages, Sonny Cleeton completed the scoring in the 89th minute, putting the finishing touch on a convincing 5–0 victory.

It was a strong all-round performance from Portland United Reserves, who looked confident, organised and determined throughout the 90 minutes. A thoroughly deserved result and an excellent display from the team.
