Portland United Reserves secured a crucial 3–1 victory away at Sherborne Town Reserves, in a competitive encounter that ultimately saw the Blues claim all three points.
The match was an even affair for long periods, with both sides creating chances and battling in midfield. Portland drew first blood through Ashley Smith, who opened the scoring with a composed finish. Sonny Cleaton and Kai Kilcoyne added further goals to give the Blues a comfortable lead, demonstrating the resilience and attacking threat of the side. Sherborne’s Sol Carney managed a consolation goal for the Zebras, but it was never enough to change the outcome.
